COLOR THEORY with Meghan Muser
SUNDAY

This class is about discovering the creative spark that comes from working with color-no matter your medium. Whether you work in ceramics, painting, textiles, collage, or are simply curious to begin, you'll explore how colors tell stories, set moods, and open new directions in your art.
Through hands-on collage exercises, you'll learn how to combine colors, textures, and imagery in ways that unlock fresh ideas. You'll also create a personal mood board as a tool for inspiration, drawing from art, nature, and everyday life. In addition, you'll receive prompts to continue exploring color beyond the class-developing palettes, themes, and visual languages to guide your creative projects. Along the way, we'll explore practical approaches to moving past artistic blocks and discover how to translate inspiration into your own practice.

INTRO TO SCUPTURE
THURSDAYS
9/24-10/29
10AM-12:30PM
Start your sculpting education with a study of the human form. Sculpt a busty bud vase or another representational figure of your choice, learning proportion, anatomy, and surface detail as you translate observation into three-dimensional clay; then shift gears to create a second piece that emphasizes abstract form and artistic flow, exploring gesture, negative space, and dynamic movement without the constraints of literal representation. By completing both a representational and an abstract sculpture in class, you’ll gain hands-on experience with planning, building and refining forms, joining and smoothing techniques, and basic finishing, leaving with a solid understanding of foundational sculpting principles and the confidence to develop your own stylistic direction.
$275
Class fee includes tools, clay, glaze, and firing.
